Ethnic Unity Rally - The largest Asian American Republican rally in Virginia ever

Over 800 participants, mostly Asian Americans along with our friends from the Hispanic, African American and Muslim communities, packed the auditorium at Edison Highschool in Northern Virginia last Saturday, Sept. 20, in a united effort to showcase our enthusiastic support for McCain-Palin as well as the strength of our voting power.

National Republican leaders and politicians showed up in droves to address the diverse audience.  The long list of guest speakers include Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez, Congresman Frank Wolf, Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore, Former Senator George Allen, Joe McCain (John McCain’s brother), etc.

A picture is worth a thousand words. And we have hundreds of pictures to share with you. Enjoy!

We were busy working the crowd, photographing the event and answering media interviews, so we didn’t get to enjoy most of the program & speeches.  Although we did notice the loud applauses from the audience after former Virginia Beach GOP chair Chuck Smith’s speech.

So, if you attended the event and would like to share your thoughts with fellow Republicans and APA community members, please send them to AsianAmericansforMcCain@gmail.com.
