About Us
Founded in November 2007, we are an all-volunteer grassroots organization and our mission is to inform, organize, and mobilize the Asian American community to elect Senator John McCain the next President of the United States.
As a reflection of Senator McCain’s broad support within the APA community, our membership is truly diverse, comprising of college & graduate students, young professionals, activists, former Congressional staffs, etc. With members coming from every Asian subgroup, we are growing everyday and we invite you to hang around this site, learn more about our candidate and our activities. And if you’re interested in getting involved, we would be delighted to welcome you onto our team.
In the upcoming months, we will need all the help we can get to reach out and build broad and deep grassroots support for Senator McCain within our communities across the country. There are many opportunities for you to contribute (you can choose which activity you’re interested in, i.e. joining our blog team, campaigning offline with us, or helping organize events in your community), and we will work with you to provide you the support you need.
Feel free to leave a comment here or contact us at AsianAmericansforMcCain@gmail.com.
We look forward to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by!
The “Asian Americans for McCain” team

Hi there,
My name is Mira Jang, and I am a reporter at News21, a multimedia news project that is collaborating with NPR to cover the presidential election. (http://newsinitiative.org)
I am writing a story on the surge of Asian American political participation in the presidential campaign, both volunteer and paid. I would like to talk to someone at your organization about why Asian Americans are volunteering for the campaign and what this means for Asian American political participation.
Please email me at jangmira@gmail.com or call me at 212 854 4063. I’m going to be reporting from Los Angeles later this month, so I’d like to meet a McCain volunteer out there if possible. But before that, I’d like to talk to someone in our group to get a better idea of what’s happening on the ground.
Thank you very much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Mira Jang
